Gwenno Griffiths

Dentist
Dr Gwenno Griffiths (BDS Cardiff) graduated from Cardiff University Dental School, 2022. Gwenno has gained numerous experiences within a wide range of clinical settings, including a private practice in Brittany, France.
A fluent Welsh speaker, Gwenno’s compassionate nature and calming manner reassures the most nervous individuals.
Gwenno considers dentistry more than simply her career, but also her passion in life. Gwenno takes great pride in creating personalised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. With keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and restorative work, Gwenno has a true eye for modern and aesthetically pleasing dentistry. Being a young dentist allows Gwenno to be very intune with current trends, concepts and developments in dentistry. Gwenno is eager to pursue a postgraduate diploma in restorative dentistry in the near future.
A past pupil of Ysgol Gyfun Gymraeg Bro Myrddin, Gwenno enjoys singing, playing guitar, running, baking and walking her beloved dog, Betsi the Cavapoo.
David Roderick

Dentist
David, a fluent Welsh speaker brought up in Llanelli, qualified from King’s College Hospital, London in 1987 and received a Master of Science degree in Conservative Dental Surgery from Guy’s Hospital in 1992. He worked for many years as co owner of a prestigious practice in rural Kent and was also a part time undergraduate teacher in Guy’s Dental Hospital. He was involved with training and lecturing newly qualified dentists for many years and has a wealth of experience in general dentistry. David is a GDC registered Specialist in Prosthodontics.
He takes great pride in providing his patients with high quality dentistry in a relaxed, friendly environment and enjoys working as a part of Carmarthen Dental Centre’s professional, highly motivated team.
Away from work David enjoys spending time with his family, music (as an enthusiastic but very amateur guitar player!) and travelling.
Erica Day

Practice Manager
City & Guilds Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 QCF – 2017
Erica is our Practice Manager here at Carmarthen Dental Centre and at our sister practice the West Wales Dental Implant Clinic, she has a degree in childcare as well as being a fully qualified dental nurse having attained her diploma in 2017.
She maintains her professional interest with continuous professional development by attending numerous postgraduate studies and is a fully qualified phlebotomist.
Erica is responsible for the day to day running of the clinic and is familiar with Xero Accounting and Dext. Erica is also a registered practice manger with the Health Inspectorate Wales (HIW).
Svetlana Williams

Registered Dental Nurse
I have qualified as a dental nurse from the Cardiff University in June 2018.
I am passionate about dentistry and always try to dedicate my knowledge and skills to do my job well.
In addition to my dental qualification, I also have a degree in Marketing and Business, which I gained in Russia and Wales.
In my spare time I enjoy spending it with my family, my partner and my daughter.
In the future, I am willing to gain more skills and qualifications in dental nursing to help with the possibility of becoming a therapist or hygienist.
Sarah Baldwin
Receptionist
Hello everyone. I have worked at the Carmarthen Dental Centre since January 2024 as the practice receptionist. I am really enjoying my role as it is a lovely practice and I get to meet and welcome a diverse range of people and help with any questions or information.
I am a passionate animal lover and spend as much time as possible with my animals which currently consist a German Shepherd, one cat and Shetland ponies. I am also the world’s biggest Elvis fan and my dream is to visit his home Graceland in Memphis which I am hoping will become a reality soon.
I am Scottish although I have lost my accent but immensely proud of my heritage. I enjoy music, films, sport and writing poetry in my spare time also.
I look forward to meeting you all during your visit to the practice and making your experience as reassuring, comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
Bronwen Jones

Registered Dental Nurse
Bronwen is our trainee dental nurse here at the Carmarthen Dental Centre. Bronwen has a passion for general dentistry, dental implants, aesthetic dentistry and patient care.
Bronwen grew up and lives in Pembrokeshire. she enjoys visiting new countries and meeting new people and has not long returned to Wales after travelling to New Zealand, Australia and parts of South East Asia.
In her spare time Bronwen enjoys visiting her local beaches, hiking and keeping fit, attending CrossFit classes and also loves spending time with her friends and family, reading and baking cakes.
Bronwen states that “She is delighted to be a part of such a dedicated, professional team and cannot wait to gain more knowledge from the team of dentists and her work colleagues on a daily basis”
